Independent Satellite Symposia

Independent satellite symposia (ISS) are one of the most popular ways for CE providers to support SOHO’s mission and provide additional learning opportunities to Annual Meeting registrants. Satellite symposia provide:

  • A high level of visibility and the opportunity to highlight your organization's position as a leader in the hematologic/oncology field.
  • A highly respected forum for presenting important innovations and cutting-edge research.
  • Increased recognition and goodwill among thought leaders in the hematologic/oncology field.
  • A showcase for continuing education for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists who treat patients with hematologic malignancies.

The Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) issues a Call for Collaboration to organizations including medical education companies who organized Independent Satellite Symposia (ISS) at previous SOHO meetings in November of each year. The goal of the Call for Collaboration is to provide a wide variety of cutting-edge topics for learners participating in the 2026 Annual Meeting and to ensure quality and consistency among all ISS.

To be included in the 2026 Call for Collaboration please contact Jauron Valentine at jvalentine@sohoonline.org.

Benefits of Independent Satellite Symposia

  • Four complimentary meeting registrations.
  • A listing in the the SOHO Annual Meeting Program including the session title, narrative description, date/time, and location, with sponsor acknowledgement

SOHO will distribute an email broadcast on behalf of ISS sponsors to all registered delegates for a fee of $2,000. The content of the email requires preapproval by the SOHO Organizing Committee and must be in final  HTML or email format.

Please note: SOHO will not host images, design or proof your email nor will we test any links that you might include. Accreditation Options

Organizations have the option to either use their own accreditation for the ISS and associated enduring activities or use SOHO's preferred accredited provider, Medical Learning Institute, Inc. (MLI) for certification.

Using Your Own Accreditation

Organizations, in good standing, with their own accreditation may certify their ISS and associated enduring activities independently, provided they meet SOHO's standards for content alignment and quality. Organizations choosing this option must submit documentation of their accreditation status and ensure compliance with SOHO's educational objectives and guidelines. Contact jvalentine@sohoonline.org for guidance on ensuring alignment with SOHO's requirements if necessary.
